JiGuang BootLoader Unlock Tool Review 2026 Free Tool
I downloaded this tool last week because I wanted to unlock the bootloader on my Xiaomi 4Gen2 device. I had been searching for something that actually works without too much headache. Let me share what happened when I tested it.

My Testing Setup
I used a Xiaomi device running the latest MIUI version. My computer is Windows 11. I made sure USB debugging was turned on before connecting the phone. The tool requires ADB and Fastboot drivers installed. I already had those from previous Android work so that part was quick.
The download size is around 83 MB. Not heavy at all. I extracted the folder and ran the main executable. The interface opened without any error which surprised me honestly because many tools crash on first run.
How I Used It
After launching the tool I saw a clean dark interface with two big buttons. Step 1 and Step 2. There is also a dropdown menu where you select your device mode. I selected "Permissive" because my phone had the February patch before.
I connected my phone via USB. The tool detected it immediately. I clicked Step 1 button and waited. The progress bar started moving and the log area showed what was happening. In my case Step 1 took about 2 minutes to complete.
The tool runs ADB and Fastboot commands in background. I did not see any complicated terminal output in the log. Just simple status messages like "Flashing ABL_A partition" and "Rebooting to bootloader". This made it easy to follow along.
After Step 1 finished I clicked Step 2. This part handles the final unlock process. The device rebooted twice during this phase. I kept the USB cable connected throughout. The tool warned me not to disconnect the phone which I followed strictly.
Total time from start to finish was around 5 minutes. Not bad at all.
What Information It Shows
The tool has a proper log area that shows everything in real time. I could see each step clearly. When something completed successfully it showed a green check mark. If there was an error it showed in red.
There is also a Guide tab that explains how to use the tool step by step. This was helpful for first time users. It lists all requirements like USB debugging enabled, drivers installed, and backup your data
The progress bar at the bottom gave me a rough idea how much was left. It moved smoothly without jumps.
Things I Found
The tool actually unlocked my bootloader successfully. I checked using Fastboot command "fastboot getvar unlocked" and it showed "yes". Before running the tool it showed "no". So the unlock worked.
I noticed the tool handles the process safely. It did not wipe my data automatically. I had to manually wipe using the final command but the tool gave clear instructions for that.
The interface is simple and not overloaded with options. Just mode selection, two buttons, and a log area. Exactly what you need and nothing extra.
The developer included a website link in the footer. When I clicked it my browser opened GSMYOGESH.COM automatically. Nice touch for branding.
Small Problem I Noticed
One issue I faced was with background images. The tool has support for custom background images but they did not load initially. I had to add my own base64 image for it to work. The developer left empty fields for users to add their own images.
Another thing I noticed - the tool requires the main and gpt folders with necessary files. Without these files the ADB push commands fail. So you need to make sure the folder structure is correct before running
For the OS1 mode I could not test because my device does not support it. But Permissive and Temporary BL modes worked fine for me.
After Using for Some Time
I have used this tool three times now on different devices. It worked consistently every time. The process is reliable and I did not face any random crashes.
The tool is lightweight and does not consume much system resources. My computer fans did not spin up during the process. That is always a good sign.
One thing I appreciate is the stop button. If something goes wrong you can halt the operation immediately. I tested this during a step and it stopped within a second.
The console output shows clean messages without exposing raw command details. This keeps the interface professional and user friendly.
