SamFw Tool 5.6 Update - Add Samsung EDL Read info, Factory reset, Reset FRP, Exynos FRP
My Experience After Checking SamFw Tool 5.6
I downloaded SamFw Tool 5.6 and checked the new update before writing this post. After comparing it with the previous version samfw tool 5.5.1 I honestly could not find any major new feature. Most of the changelog is focused on small bug fixes, adding support for a few more Samsung models in EDL mode, and improving the Exynos FRP process. If you were expecting a big update with new functions, this version may disappoint you.
One thing I noticed is that the credit system is still the same. SamFw continues to charge credits for several Samsung FRP operations, especially on Exynos devices. Today there are many free and open source tools that can perform similar jobs without asking users to purchase credits. Because of that, I don't think this update gives much value to users who only want free features.
Previous version - SamFw Tool 5.6 Update
SamFw Tool v5.5.1 added some changes like Samsung Exynos FRP Beta support, Android 16 FRP Server 2, Previous version issues fixes for upload data, reapir of serial numbers in Samsung Download Mode, and a some internal bug in backend operation is fixed. At first look, the changelog looks okay, but after checking it properly, the update feels just average. if you have remove frp on exynos and find the free tool than this update not hel you understand it before download this update.
The main highlight is Exynos FRP support for devices with January 2026 security. But this feature is not free. You need around 10 to 30 credits to use it. This is where the update becomes disappointing because the same work can already be done using other tools for free. Many users were expecting something more useful, like new free features or better support, but most of the focus here is on paid functions.
In my view, this is not an important update. The bug fixes are good but is not problem as a free users is ok, but nothing really stands out. If future updates add

How to Install SamFw Tool
Follow these simple steps to get the tool up and running on your computer:
Unzip the File: Find the downloaded zip file named SamFwToolSetup_v5.6 on your desktop. Right-click on it and choose Extract to "SamFwToolSetup_v5.6\".
Open the Installer: Open the newly extracted folder. Right-click on the SamFwToolSetup.exe file and select Run as administrator.
Bypass the Windows Warning: If a blue Windows Protection box pops up saying "Windows protected your PC", click on the small More info text, then click the Run anyway button at the bottom.
Go Through the Setup Screens: Click the circle next to I accept the agreement and hit Next. On the update details screen, click Next again. Choose your shortcut preferences, click Next, and click Install.
Finish and Launch: Keep the Launch SamFw Tool box checked and click Finish. The program will open up, quickly check for updates, and you are ready to go!
